Advanced Protective Coatings (APC) was established in January 1994 to manufacture quality composite products.

APC utilized compression molding, pultrusion, spray-up molding, filament winding, resin transfer molding, casting, and hand lay-up in the manufacturing of composite products. In addition, APC used many advanced materials, including carbon fiber, Kevlar, epoxy resin, and vinylester resin.

In the quest to improve its products, the need for an advanced protective coating became apparent. After a thorough investigation into the latest protective coating systems available, LINE-X was selected for being far superior to its competition in its material variety, material quality, spray equipment system, and technical support.

APC became an established LINE-X applicator in August 1994, and immediately realized the commercial and retail potential of the product. To help establish other applicators, Burtin Corporation agreed to make APC a Master Distributor for LINE-X. This agreement allowed LINE-X to "reach out" by establishing a training facility, material warehouse, equipment inventory, and technical expertise close to the applicator. When it became apparent that franchising would be the best avenue to further the growth of LINE-X, APC became the first Master Franchisee for LINE-X. APC maintains a full staff of professionals in the areas of distribution, training, technical support, sales and marketing. APC has the ability to quickly make on-site visits to its applicators due to its central geographic location and extensive use of private aircraft.
