PRE-SET UP
CHECKLIST
In order to expedite your LINE-X training and equipment setup it is mandatory
that you have the following items and equipment in place prior to our (APC
personnel) arrival to set you up. This will be what is needed besides what is
included in the LINE-X Franchise Pacakge.
BUILDING and BOOTH REQUIREMENTS
- BUILDING SIZE SHOULD BE AT LEAST 2,000 SQUARE FEET
. (PREFERABLY NO
BAYS) The work area should be heated and completely free from the
elements.
- At least one 10’ garage door and 10’ or higher ceilings are recommended.
- Adequate power (single or 3 phase 220V) to run LINE-X equipment and air
compressor.
- You need to make sure to provide1/2" or larger air plumbing from the compressor to your
air lines.
- You also need to have an electrician hook up the air compressor, and to
locate an electrical box near the placement of the LINE-X equipment.
- The spray booth size should be at least 20’W x 25’L, and you should have
cover the 4 walls and floor with tarps or clear 6 mil plastic. You must also have
adequate lighting. You cannot have too much lighting. A paint booth is not
required (unless specifically required by local ordinance).
- An exhaust system to filter the air. The exhaust should not be located
close to people or vehicles. APC does have available a ventilation fan
that is more than adequate for most booth configurations.
When you have decided on a building please send a drawing to scale with the
following information: complete dimensions of the building, any obstructions
(i.e. poles, office space, etc.), breaker boxes, where building can be vented,
height of building, air lines if any, etc. Also include picture of the interior
and exterior of the building, parking area, and adjacent buildings. APC
must approve your building location before you commit to any lease/rental or
purchase contract.
OTHER MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT NEEDED in addition to the LINE-X Franchise Package
- Circuit breakers (one 220V 70 amp and one 220V 40 amp)
- Multiple 110V outlets
- Extension cords 25’ (3) to plug in fresh air system etc.
- Air hoses and fittings (for air tools)
- Squirrel cage fan (approximately 1 hp) with duct and vent for exhaust
system. Should be adequate to produce approximately 1000 CFM or better.
- Polyethylene tarps or 6 mil plastic to cover the 4 walls and floor of the
booth
- Tables (3). For the tailgate, gun, and prep tools
- Tools (Open end wrenches ¼" to 1 1/8" ,Sockets ¼" to 1 1/8", Pliers, Screw
drivers, Hammer)
- Denatured alcohol or methanol (1 gal)
- Cleats/pulleys (for drop drape between truck cab and bed)
- Air impact ratchet 3/8"
- Five gallon buckets (white) with lids (5)
- Large trash containers
- Paper towels (cases)
- Trash dumpster
