LINE-X Non-Slip and Corrosion Protection

The Challenge - Forward deployed, mobile fire-base/mortar-mounts. In the field under normal operating conditions, the deck-plate area becomes extremely slippery, posing a safety hazard to personnel and impeding operations.

The Solution - The surface area was first sand-blasted to remove debris and contaminants prior to the application of LINE-X. Because of the extreme conditions of normal use, a very aggressive texture was applied to the surface as well as a topcoat of LINE-X XTRA, with DuPont Kevlar, in dark O.D. green (with a flattening agent to reduce gloss). The end result – a permanently bonded, non-skid surface that provides corrosion protection and skid resistance – prolonging the operational life of the equipment and effectively eliminating the slipping hazard to personnel.
