LINE-X Military Shelters- Corrosion Protection, Non-slip, Abrasion and Chemical Resistance
|
The Challenge - These shelters see tremendous damage in the field from every day use and abuse. On top of that, corrosion attacks the structure causing areas to either fail or allow water intrusion to cause further damage. Repairs are very costly dues the countless manhours to rework the aluminum structure. The Solution - LINE-X offers a system where the entire floor surface is reconditioned. The first step is to gap large irregularities using metal tape or other suitable material. The next step is to apply the LINE-X CU-400 Castable material. This material is designed to flow out to create a self-leveling surface. This compensates for dents and other damage in the original flooring system. Due to its high strength the CU-400 adds material integrity to the aluminum flooring. It also makes it virtually puncture proof increasing the performance of the unit beyond original specifications. Lastly a coat of LINE-X XS-100 is sprayed on and textured to create a non-slip surface. Again increasing the end customer satisfaction beyond original specifications. The Result - A LINE-X system applied to these military shelters produces a surface that returns the mobile shelter back to service faster, at lower cost, and with higher performance than the original product. A win on all fronts. LINE-X can also be applied to the exterior of this unit to add a moisture barrier and increase the integrity of the unit.
